Rowland, Inc., Pinellas Park, FL acquired the InflowShield® brand of stainless steel manhole inserts. Surface water inflow through manhole lids can exceed 12,000 gallons per day during significant rain events. This water must then be treated once it enters the sanitary sewer system and costs taxpayers millions of dollars per year in unnecessary treatment costs. InflowShield manhole inserts eliminate surface water from entering the sanitary sewer system.
